Election Night 2008
Dear friends,
Thank you to the voters of Mississauga-Streetsville who have
placed their faith and confidence in me. I will not betray
your trust and I will work hard to be an inclusive and
responsive Member of Parliament championing our needs in
Ottawa.
I am especially grateful to my team and all the volunteers
who helped elect me. It would not have been possible without
you. Now however, we must focus on serving the needs of the
community of Mississauga Streetsville.
Warmest regards and my sincere thanks,
Bonnie Crombie

Bonnie Blasted Khan in Live CTV Debate!
Bonnie debated her opponents in downtown Streetsville
Wednesday night live on CTV and very clearly won. She
called for new legislation against floor crossing.
"What I hear at the doors is that people feel their vote is
a sacred trust and to have someone cross the floor with that vote
is a betrayal of that trust. I want to restore trust in Mississauga
- Streetsville. I am a liberal of conviction not convenience,"
Bonnie exclaimed to wide applause.Watch the Video:

Crombie Calls Out Khan
Bonnie Crombie came face to face with the Conservative
candidate at an All-Candidates Debate on Tuesday organized
by the Mississauga Board of Trade and RogersTV. Mississauga
News called this race "the one political race in
Mississauga that all eyes across Canada will be focused on."
The debate was a great opportunity for Bonnie to hold her
opponent Wajid Khan accountable for some of his loosely made
statements, actions and his floor - crossing.
A face to face confrontation, based on facts - even an
old photograph which she waved to cameras - was not
something that Mr. Khan could easily defend.
"I am a Liberal of conviction, not of convenience,"
said Bonnie to Wajid reminding him of how he had duped the
people of this riding by crossing the floor to join the
Conservatives.
